Well, after a bit of shopping around using froogle.com, I have finally been able to put together my review of low-carbohydrate (well, really 'low sugar') energy/meal replacement bars. I think I've settled on the SportPharma Lean Protein bars, although I may mix-in some of the Optimum Nutrition bars, which are very comparable:
Optimum Nutrition - Pro Complex - Peanut Butter
===============================================
Very much like the Sport Pharma Lean Protein Peanut Butter. Very little/no aftertaste. 320 cal, and feels quite filling.
Optimum Nutrition - Protein Diet - Peanut Butter
==============================================
Not so great. Did taste a bit peanut-buttery, but
there was an aftertaste. It was also not as filling as some of the others.
Biochem - Ultimate Low Carb - Chocolate Smores Supreme
==============================================
Good flavor, very slight hint of an aftertaste. Fairly filling for it's size/cal count.
Sport Pharma - Lean Protein - Peanut Butter
===============================================
Taste is decent. No aftertaste. Filling.
Sport Pharma - Lean Portein - Cookies & Cream
===============================================
Noticable aftertaste, but filling.
Thnk Thin - Low Carb - Peanut Butter
===============================================
Tasts is decent. No aftertatse. Not as filling as the Optimum Nutrition or Sport Pharma bars, with only 250 calories.
EAS - Myoplex - Carb Sense - Marble Fudge
===============================================
Flavor is not really fudge-like at all. Did not have much aftertaste, but what flavor it did have was not very appealing either.
EAS - Myoplex - Carb Sense - Creamy Peanut Butter
===============================================
Not much peanut buttery-ness in the flavor, with a noticable mild aftertaste.
Met-RX - Pure Protein - Peanut Butter
===============================================
Awful aftertaste. Almost couldn't finish it. It was very filling, however.
